Chesterfield CND & STWC will have a stall outside Primark in Chesterfield Market Square this Saturday, 3 November from 11am – 12.30. David Cameron and friends flaunt their red poppies while keeping our troops in Afghanistan – another two killed last week; Government rhetoric ratchets up the glorification of war, proposing to spend £50million on a massive commemoration of theinglorious 1914-18 war; and the British Legion sells red poppies as the top brass are caught out selling influence for arms deals. The WHITE POPPY is a symbol of grief for ALL those killed in war, soldiers and civilians alike, and of a commitment to work for a world where conflicts are resolved without violence and with justice. Please wear your white poppy for peace – we shall have them at the stall on Saturday. Any help at the stall would be greatly appreciated!
