NO GLORY IN WAR

No Glory in War The centenary of the First World War will feature prominently in 2014, and probably for the next four years. The government and the media are using the anniversary to highlight and promote the role of the military in society. A national campaign of political, cultural and educational activities aims to counteract these ‘nationalist’ interpretations of the conflict and use the occasion to remember the dead, learn the lessons, and promote international solidarity and peace.
