The International campaign for BOYCOTT,DIVESTMENT AND SANCTIONS.

There is an established and growing movement in solidarity with Palestine. Since 2004, the focus of this movement has been a Palestinian call for ‘Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions’ (BDS). The call was made by hundreds of Palestinian civil society organisations and all major Palestinian trade unions. Campaigners around the world have engaged in diverse forms of solidarity action in line with this call.

Israel continues to break International Human Rights Law and ignores United Nations Conventions. These include serious breeches of the Fourth Geneva Convention, the UN Convention Against Torture and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Governments around the world have failed to call Israel to account for their illegal occupation of Palestinian land, the continued siege of  Gaza and Israel’s apartheid system, and therefore Civil society must act and support Palestinians in their struggle for  PEACE and JUSTICE .Palestinians are denied basic rights in their own land. They have now endured decades of suffering under military occupation.

A boycott of Israeli goods will send a message to the Palestinian people that they are not alone.

THINK BEFORE YOU BUY!

By purchasing goods from Israel you are helping to finance a brutal, illegal occupation.

Israel:

*grows produce on land stolen from Palestinians

*destroys Palestinian lives, livelihoods and homes on a daily basis

*refuses to stop building illegal colonies and the ‘apartheid’ wall on stolen land

*continues to control Gaza and occupy the West Bank

*denies refugees their right to return

*operates an apartheid racist system.

CHECK THE LABELS ON  FOOD /GOODS… IF IT’S FROM ISRAEL or the WEST BANK… DON’T BUY IT !

By being an ethical consumer you can help create justice and peace for the Palestinian people.

WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR:

Many companies have connections with or source produce from Israel/West Bank -some of the well known ones are:
